F.O. Mock Me!

This was my little design project from a few weeks back. I named it Mock Me. You can find the pattern for free on Ravelry.

I used alpaca silk blend yarn and only 250 yards.

F.O. April Mystery 220 - Revealed

Another finished item to add to the list. Seems that this year is full of small projects for me.

Project Details:
This was the April Mystery 220 project. Turns out to be Bronte's Mitts (not a unicorn horn cover - which I was hoping for). I used Liberty's Yarn Bluetopia (holding two strands together). I used size 4 and size 5 dpn. I started on April 4th and finished on April 23. My dear hubby is calling them my Madonna gloves and I have to say I feel a little 1980's with them on. Now to see what we will be making for May's Mystery.

Raggy Quilt

A co-worker of Mike's just had a baby and I decided to whip up a raggy quilt for the little guy. The fabric just showed up and it is now in the washer ragging. I love fast projects!

Project Details:
Use fleece, cotton or flannel fabric.
I cut out 8x8 squares.
Sew them together right side out with at least a 1/4" seam.
There is no batting - just the back.
Sew the back to the front with at least a 1/4" seam.
Using scissors cut the fabric ever 1/12" just down near the seam (but not right up against it).
Wash.
Let the raggy quilt be alive!

W.I.P April 16

I finished clue 3 of Mystery 220 KAL. I'm pretty sure these are mitts of some kind. I can't wait for the last clue! Hopefully next week.

Also they need to be blocked so that you can see the cute edging.

W.I.P April 12 - Weekend Recap

This is a secret design project. Still on the needles and still super hush hush!

I finished up these socks on Monday morning as we drove home (there was too much wind to travel on Sunday).

Project Details:
The pattern is called Nutkin and is really easy to memorize and work while watching tv. I did two pairs of socks at the same time (which made it seem like they went faster). These are a gift for the Sole Sisters group that I'm in. I used Liberty's Bluetopia yarn called Ketchikan (had to buy it being an Alaskan girl). Started on March 12 and finished on April 11. I couldn't understand the patterns heel or toe (so I used my standard one). Other than that I followed the pattern. I sure hope by buddy enjoys these.

During our weekend track/RV trip I finished clues 1 & 2 for Aprils Mystery 220 KAL. I know that for people who did these with a solid color you could make out more - but I love the bright colors and the pop of each of them. Waiting for clue 3.

RV Knitting Part III

I'm not as far as I hoped but at least I'm one repeat from being at the toe on dock two and on sock one I'm at the toe. I give these bad boys just tomorrow.

WIP-RV Edition II

Nothing finished today. But I did turn the heel in both pairs of socks for my Sole Sister exchange. I'd like to finish these by the end of the weekend - but I'm not sure that is going to happen.

WIP - RV edition

I have finished clues 1 & 2 of the mystery 220 April knit. I'm sure they will be hand wear of some kind. I hope to get an insane amount of knitting done this weekend! Keep an eye on my progress.

W.I.P April 7th

I couldn't stay away. I'm doing the April Mystery 220 knit along. I'm guessing these are mitts or gloves. I'm excited by the color and the hidden clues.

These are my sole sister socks. I have the two socks going and am ~.5-1 inchs from finishing the legs. My goal is going to be finishing these socks this weekend.

Mini Quilt

On Purl SoHo they have been doing a mini quilt each month. I just love them all and decided to follow along. This is my first one. The pieces are cut and I've decided to machine quilt the circles. I figure I'll do one circle a day (which shouldn't take up too much time).

I picked out fabric that I love and wouldn't mind seeing hanging on my wall.

W.I.P April 4

These are my sole sister socks. I'm working the two of them at once, so progress is slower than normal - but I think that means that by the time one is done the other will be done as well.

The test that was vexing me got worked out and made me realize exactly how good it is to have patterns test knit before publishing.
