When You Sleep.

I've been working on the Cleopatra Shawl and woke up this morning to find that Methow had carried the shawl into the kitchen and also drug yarn throughout the house. Feeling uninspired to work on it once this has happened.

I have been working on it - I swear. I just checked Ravelry and I started this shawl in April of 2010. Guess this means I really need to get my butt in gear. Nearly a year and I'm just now onto the coins repeat.

I started this lace pattern from Anne's Shakespeare club a long time ago. I've been meaning to get back to it and have taken the past few weeks to make some progress. Turns out that one small mistake early on was causing me problems so I frogged and got back to it. This shawl has its own tray to keep it organized and ready for work. The pattern is called Cleopatra.

Am I knitting? I sure am melting in the heat - but still trying to get a little knitting done. This is the Back to School vest. I'm doing the darts at the top right now and working the whole top section. My goal will be to finish this in the next week or so. Yep. The first of the secret projects is done. Number 2 is on the needles. Cleopatra is moving along ... well slowly. I only did one repeat for the neck and am now on the transition pattern. I know - I know - it probably doesn't look like I've done much since the last time you saw this project ... but I have. I swear!

I'm making slow progress on Cleopatra. I wish I could say it was faster going - but with just a row or two a day ... well it is taking a very long time. Here are the Snow Queen socks. I'm turning the heel on sock one. I hope to have sock one mostly done by the end of the weekend. These were suppose to be a Mother's Day gift. Yikes. I'm SLOW! My new project on the needles ... Knitting Nature Sunflower Tam. I was having an issue getting gauge and Anne suggested I use 2 strands of yarn to get gauge. I'm almost an inch into the rib on the hat and I'm loving it. I love the brown with the bright color. I can't wait to get to the top part.
