Week 20 YOP21

Image
A week of FO.  Feeling like maybe this whole wrapping up projects is possible! I finished a simple shawl.  I purged most of this mandala yarn.  Not really a fan. These mittens are a pattern I wrote fir a sock tube from my cranked tubes.  Again so-so!  But at least I’m done!

Week 17 & 18 YOP

I’ve been working it!!! I’ve picked up a cross stitch that I’ve left languishing.  I’ve also been working hard on a shawl from my list this year. Most of all I’ve purged my craft closet and am trying to finish and not purchase anything new.

Week 16 YOP21

Finished object time!  Took me nearly a month - but finished this shawl/scarf.  One full skein of sock yarn.  The pattern was Be Simple Variation on Ravelry. Once it was blocked it sure did come out a lot bigger!

Week 15 YOP21

I feel like focus us back on.  I pulled out a king quilt to work on (had to order more fabric).  Worked a lot on my scarf/shawl and pulled out cranked sock tubes to make socks abs mittens. Stash going down!!!!

Week 13 YOP21

Don’t tell my daughter … this is for her! I’m happy to say a Christmas scarf is fine!  D for done!  One more skein used and another one off the books!

Week 11 YOP 21

Image
I have decided I’m just not in a sock knitting mood.  I’m very tired of them!  So I frogged the socks snd cast on a pair of mittens!  Feeling better with the project!

Week 10 YOP 21

I decided to cast on socks instead of finger less mitts for the next project and it is slow going.  The already knit sock that was painted by Gale's Art is the Yellowstone blank.  I tried to do two socks at once, toe up, and found that the yarn kept getting hung up.  So, I had to ball 1/2 of the blank.

Week 9 YOP21

I thought finishing this project would have been a lot faster than it was.  I only used one skein of the Rowan and a full skein of handspun.  But I think it came out great!  Next is a pair of socks!!

Week 7 YOP21

Another one down!!  1090 yards of glorious windy valley Muskox yarn.  I bought this year probably 15 years ago at the Toas Wool Festival.  II’ve thought over the years about making something amazing with it and finally decided.  Took a while to get this project done - nearly a month - but so worth it!!!

Week 6 YOP

Image
I’m still in the long haul of the Strickmich shawl. I’ve finally moved to the second color.  But this is slow going!

Week 4/52 YOP21

Image
I’m feeling like progress has been better than expected.  I had for July just the Drop Stitch Scarf.  I finished that up and then moved to project 2 on the list.   Fingerless Mitts  !  I used a sport weight yarn and ended up with a bunch left over.  Thinking another pair of mitts or a hat! Since these went fast I cast on for October’s Project.  Selago Sunset.  I’m using yarn I’ve had forever and never found a good enough pattern for.  Has that ever happened to you?  I spent too much on the yarn and nothing seems perfect enough for it. I hope to finish this early too!  Fingers crossed

Week 3/52 YOP21

My goal for July was to finish this handspun scarf!  I made it with time to spare.  This drop stitch scarf was boring but came out great.  After I finished I moved onto August’s project (fingerless mitts).  They have turned out to be a very fast knit.  I’m happy for that since the scarf felt slow!
