FO Berry Socks

Second Sock Take That!!! I decided to hit these bad boys hard and I did! I finished up the second sock today and I think my little sister will love them. Project Details: Started on May 6th and finished today January 14. A super fun, easy pattern that shouldn't have taken so long. The pattern is called Berry Patch Sock and is on Ravelry. I used Araucania Ranco sock yarn - which I'm so so on. Sort of a rough feeling yarn. Overall I think I have my sock mojo back!!

What To Do

So I have had these socks on the needles since August 14th 2011. I hate the pattern and am not really a fan of the yarn. They sit there and look at me. Telling me to work on them. Well guess what - life is to short to hate hour knitting projects. I'm not going to feel bad ... but you are now getting frogged!

Well I noticed that I have NOTHING on the needles. How crazy is that? I pulled out this kit from an old club I was in. Kits are sometimes the best because I don't have to think about anything - just grab, do a gauge swatch and then knit away. The yarn is very very interesting feeling and thin. This pair of socks has 80 stitches cast on (if you can believe that). Anyway - working through the stash and old kits is a good thing - right?

You may be at home - wondering - what in the world is this girl working on? No posts in days. Is she spinning, knitting, alive? The answer is slow movement. When projects are going slow I don't like the post the exact same status every day. Seems like a waste of blog space. Currently I have two projects that I'm pushing through - the KAL toe up socks and the red tank top. The red tank is done - blocking - but I need to put straps on it. I didn't want to make the straps until it was blocked so that I could see how long to make them. I have also not thought about beads yet. I'm not sure if I'll put them on yet. I might just wait and see how it wears. The toe up socks are coming slowly. Normally I fly through the first sock and go slow through the second. This sock for some reason doesn't seem to be making progress very fast. I'm currently 3.5" up the leg and hoping to finish this one up this week. I also just picked up this book. It has a ...
