Nuclear Knits: Where knitting is the bomb!

I figure it is time to get back to my red scarf projects. This is from the Brooklyn Tweed pattern . I'm using two different yarns that are darker and lighter gray.

This is for March Madness and my first 2010 Red Scarf Project scarf. I know - it isn't red - but it will be fine. Project Details: Started March 2nd and finished March 7th. I used 4 skeins of Crystal Palace Yarns Cotton Chenille Solid. I worked on size 8 needles and still plan to dry this scarf a bit to make it less lacy.

Digging through my stash I'm trying to figure out what to use for my red scarf projects. Is green and red inappropriate? What about blue? Teal??

I finished up the red (blue) scarf for the red scarf project. It has now been washed and dried (oh the fiber feels wonderful now). Norma had suggested washing and drying in the machine (which I normally don't do) - but it really made the scarf less sticky (from the silk I believe) and poof up more. It is wonderfully soft now. I know it looks gray in the photos - but it is really a nice heathered blue color. Pre-Wash Photo Project Details: 7"x70" scarf done in 4x4 K/P[ pattern ]. Took 3 full skeins of Rowan Summer Tweed [354 yards] (cotton silk blend). Thanks for giving me the yarn Avivah. I knit it on size 10 needles. I cast on August 16 and finished August 22 (7 days of knitting). Washed Scarf

I have been working on my Red Scarf Project (in the hopes of finishing it up today or tomorrow). Last night Bend decided that knitting was of no use to him - but he sure does love knitted items. I'm going to have to super wash this scarf when it is finished (I'd hate for some cat allergic person to get it).

Anne had posted about a project called Red Scarf . Where you knit up a scarf and it goes to an orphan. Turns out it doesn't have to be red - so I'm doing a blue scarf. It has to be a minimum of a certain size and uni-sex. I'm casting on tonight!
