Nuclear Knits: Where knitting is the bomb!

What do I really have to report on. Well I'm still plugging away at the Seedy Rib Sock, I've picked the Habu scarf back up, and I'm working through my holiday stocking. I'm still trying to decide what to take on my trip to Japan. Maybe I should start something new, fun, small and exciting. Thoughts?

Could you call this a WIP - possibly. It has been taking me so long though that I'd just call it something I'm working to get off the needles. I finished up the back yesterday and blocked both the front and back. Now I just have the two sleeves to go and then I can piece it together and do the collar. Hopefully I get this done with in the next week or two. Really the problem is that I don't like UFOs.

I know that I try to be in bed by 9pm. But, when you finish knitting something that needs to be felted and it is 8:30 ... you take the advantage of your forward motion and just get on it. According to all the "reviews" of this pattern once a person starts to wear these clogs they mold to ones feet. I can't wait to see if this is true or not. Project Details: Plymouth Yarn Galway Highland Heather (all gray color). It was $6.50/skein and took a total of 4 skeins to make the slippers. With the speed at which these are made I'm worried I might get into a knitting slipper frenzy! Started August 23rd and finished August 28th (late - but still the 28th when I finished). Size 15 needles were used for the gauge it required. I'm felting to match current slippers that my hubby wears. Felting time in the washing machine was 35 minutes. I've just cast on for the cats holiday stocking. I finished mapping out the placement of their names and am into the first row. In other news I'm well into the felted slippers. The look like - well a knitted blob right now. I'm hoping that it comes together once I get a few more rows into it. Tomorrow I plan to cast on for the new top. Although I found that I am missing all size 6 circular needles. I've ask a buddy to borrow one for a few days (until I can get to a knitting store).

I finished up the red (blue) scarf for the red scarf project. It has now been washed and dried (oh the fiber feels wonderful now). Norma had suggested washing and drying in the machine (which I normally don't do) - but it really made the scarf less sticky (from the silk I believe) and poof up more. It is wonderfully soft now. I know it looks gray in the photos - but it is really a nice heathered blue color. Pre-Wash Photo Project Details: 7"x70" scarf done in 4x4 K/P[ pattern ]. I have been working on my Red Scarf Project (in the hopes of finishing it up today or tomorrow). Last night Bend decided that knitting was of no use to him - but he sure does love knitted items. I'm going to have to super wash this scarf when it is finished (I'd hate for some cat allergic person to get it).

You may be at home - wondering - what in the world is this girl working on? No posts in days. Is she spinning, knitting, alive? The answer is slow movement. When projects are going slow I don't like the post the exact same status every day. Seems like a waste of blog space. Currently I have two projects that I'm pushing through - the KAL toe up socks and the red tank top. The red tank is done - blocking - but I need to put straps on it. I didn't want to make the straps until it was blocked so that I could see how long to make them. I have also not thought about beads yet. I'm not sure if I'll put them on yet. I might just wait and see how it wears. The toe up socks are coming slowly. Normally I fly through the first sock and go slow through the second. This sock for some reason doesn't seem to be making progress very fast. I'm currently 3.5" up the leg and hoping to finish this one up this week. I also just picked up this book. It has a ...
