FO Cotton Dress

Image
I got a great book last Christmas filled with simple sewed outfits.  Ways to mix and match patterns to crest stuff you like.  This was my first project.  From start to finish it took only 2 hours.  A lot of that was pattern tracing.  Overall I like the 60's gel of the dress and the pattern is fun.  I wish that I had made the top a bit smaller and the dress a bit longer.  Next time!  Hard to tell in the photo but it does have a nice little split neck and the straps are funky and overlapped.

FO: Holiday Sweater

Seems like I'm only updating once a month or so.  Sorry about that.  Life is pretty crazy around here.  Project Details: Started on September 15th and finished on October 26th.  I used Cascade wool singles (we will have to see how the yarn does).  Size 8 needles so it did go quickly.  Can't wait to put Zooey in it.

FO Adult Tea Leaves Sweater

Project Details: Started on July 13th and finished on September 14th.  Took me too long, but with a toddler and kittens I'm amazed I finished.  Size 7 needles and delicious Hedgehog single fiber.  Colorway is Hunter and took 4 skeins (1004 yards).  This need a nice bath and blocking, but I think it will be a great holiday sweater!

FO Elf

Image
Project Details:  Super fast knit.  Took one skein of Classic Elite Yarns Toboggan.  Which feels great and I hope wears well.  I always wanted an elf hat .  One day to knit.  Size 10.5 needles and just what the doctor ordered. In the past 2 weeks I have started 2 sweaters and have frogged both.  Either because I hated the yarn and pattern together or because the pattern was written so poorly there was no way for me to make forward progress.  I have another one lined up to start tomorrow.  Let's see how it goes!  Wish me luck.
