I've been working on this Woobie. Well over 300 stitches for the edge - nearly killed me. I did get through it though and I'm now decreasing stitches now (which makes me happy)!
Well there is nothing like your honey saying, "Can you knit something up as a gift for tomorrow?". The answer is of course yes - I live on the sofa now. Here is a little rolled brim hat and another pair of baby Jane shoes. Quick and adorable!
Project Details: Officially the fastest damn baby knit. Any up coming showers I'm making these. Took very little yardage. A total of maybe 1.5 hours for both! Aran weight yarn. Size 6 needles. I used super wash Universal Yarn in classic shades. The buttons are from a local fabric shop that I love. Who doesn't adore chickens??
Project Details: Started on February 15. Finished February 21. Really fast when you are on bed rest. I changed up the cuffs on the sleeves and the bottom. I also only used 3 colors. The yarn is a dk called Mirasol Qina (alpaca & bamboo). I used over 400 yards for this 12 month sweater on size 6 needles. I also didn't put a button at the tip top of the neck because a) I only had 3 buttons like these and b) I hate stuff around my neck and figure the kid might be the same way.
Yep. Another one on the needles. This is my first bed rest project - which is proving to be a little harder than I thought because of the pattern being poorly written. I'll post my findings on it once I finish up.
Well I've been put on bed rest. Not full blown bed rest - I can work from home - but I'm suppose to keep walking and being up to a minimum. I'm okay, but the little girl is small. They are hoping this helps her grow. The cats have already figured out I'm home. The lump under the blanket and knitting is our cat Moab!
Project Details: Started on January 26th and finished today February 9th. Not a super long knit. I used Louisa Harding Kashmir DK. It took 446 yards and I used size 6 needles. I got these great little buttons at a local fabric shop. Are you wondering how many baby sweaters I'm going to make? So am I!
I'm making slow progress on this project. Another baby sweater (called Haiku). I've done this pattern before and enjoyed it. My goal is to have the flat main piece done this weekend! Wish me luck.
