F.O. Back To School Vest

Image
Project Details: Started May 3rd and finished July 4th. Much longer than planned - but what can I say ... I wasn't in the mood. I used Berroco Cotton Twist Solids (7 skeins) on size 5 and 7 needles. The only change to the pattern was that I decreased one needle size for the bust and 2 needles sizes for the neck and sleeve holes. I was worried that the top was going to be too large and the bottom to fitted. But, I think it came out rather well and I do believe that it will make a great fall/winter vest.

The Back-to-School vest is still on the needles. I'm moving through it slowly I'm really hoping that in the next week or so I can get it off the needles. Possible? I'm just not sure!

Am I knitting? I sure am melting in the heat - but still trying to get a little knitting done. This is the Back to School vest. I'm doing the darts at the top right now and working the whole top section. My goal will be to finish this in the next week or so. Yep. The first of the secret projects is done. Number 2 is on the needles. Cleopatra is moving along ... well slowly. I only did one repeat for the neck and am now on the transition pattern. I know - I know - it probably doesn't look like I've done much since the last time you saw this project ... but I have. I swear!

I've finished the lace at the top of sock two. Dang it is taking me forever. Hopefully I finish these up this week. I'm only a few inches from the waist of this vest. I'm still loving the look of it ... I hope to get this done in the next week or two.

I'm just casting on and working on the Back to School Vest from Fitted Knits. I'm using a blue cotton and finding it pretty fast. I've moved onto the second outer pattern of Cleopatra and am happy to see it in my new bag. Unzipping the white flower bag makes me smile seeing the yellow yarn. I'm having such a good time.
