F.O. November 30

I was really worried that this vest wouldn't fit. It seemed so small on the needles. Once it was blocked it came out perfect though. Project Details I started on August 22 and finished on November 28. I didn't work on it all the time. I'm sure with the bulky yarn it would be easy to have finished this up in a month or less. I think the size is true to size - but getting a yarn that is super bulky was hard. I used Elann Peruvian Highland Chunky and held two strands together. It was the only way I could get a thick enough yarn. I used a total of 12 skeins which worked out to be just less than 1000 yards of yarn. I wouldn't change a thing about this pattern. I think I will really enjoy wearing this.

Seoul & Back.

I spent last week in South Korea, which let me tell is was one of the best holidays I've spent overseas. I know, you would think my Italy trip would have been better. Or the UK. Or France. Or somewhere like that ... right? But, nope. To date the best overseas trip that I've taken. Could it have been because I'm just a bit older and know what I like to see and do I start with a plan? Could be. Or maybe it was just that the people of South Korea are possibly the nicest people I've met. People working on English and walking to talk with me. Friendly people who want to give directions. I always felt safe, comfortable and at home. If you want to see a bunch of photos they are on Flickr . I took two pairs of socks that I needed to work on the second sock. I did not, however, get any real knitting done. Go figure right. Before I left however, I did get a little bit of knitting done. I finished up the left from of the vest I've been working on and cast on f...

I'm still working on the vest. I've cast off for the sleeves just this weekend. I wonder how long the front will take?

This is the vest from New England Knits. The back part. I'm suppose to be 13" before I start the arm holes. Really I was suppose to decrease a bit for the waist but missed that in the pattern and am not going to rip it out. I've been hoping to finish up this vest (which shouldn't take me very long) ... but it has been taking me forever. Too much on my plate I think.

Here is my progress on the New England Knits Vest. I'm making slow progress ... but it is coming along and I really like the pattern. I'm 2 repeats into it and thinking I might have it done in time for fall!

Well I've finished mitten one of the Bella Mittens #2. I was hoping to have these done by the end of the weekend. No such luck though. I'll see if I can get through the next mitten this week. They don't take a long time - I just need to sit down and work on them. I cast on for the New England Vest that I'm excited about. I finally got all the gauge stuff worked out and am doing 2 strands of a bulky yarn. The orange color I think will have a lovely fall look. Lastly I'm working on a secret project. Yep. Another one. Here is the yarn I'm using.

Well That Is It!

Yep. It has happened to me. I never thought it would - but it has. I'm starting with this book. Wait, let me back up and explain. I've heard about "crazy" people who have pushed to knit every item in a book before. Silly. Mad. Crazy I know. I've always thought ... well there has to be one or two patterns you don't really want to knit up that bad. This book has got me. EVERY FREAKING PATTERN. I'm going to start this weekend. I'm going to start a Ravelry group. I can't help myself. I need every item in this book and I'm not even sure anyone will get them as gifts. MINE MINE MINE. Oh I feel like a crazy person myself now. Anyone up for joining in the insanity?
