WIP ...

Image
Well here are two projects that I'm making a little progress on. The first is a pair of socks - Pussy Willow. And the second is a poncho. I'd like to finish the poncho in the next week or two!

FO Baby Dress #2

Image
I decided to try another Prudent Baby pattern .  This one had a lot of detail work that I think I'll have to work on for next time.  First off the sleeve edging is suppose to have a little trim covering it.  I tried some bias tape I had around the house (but it kept coming off).  So, I decided to just do a zig zag stitch.  In the pattern she says you can use fabric from the dress to cover it.  Next time! Also, the circular parts around the neck need a little work.  I pressed the edges under before sewing, but they could be straighter.  Next time I'll take a bit more care!

FO Table Runner

Image
I noticed this weekend that valentines day is over - and hence my pink valentines table runner should be removed. But I needed one to replace it. A few years back a co-worker of Mike's gave me this Japanese print. I decided to use it. My main problem was figuring out how to quilt in the middle. What I decided was to add done beads (so that I wouldn't take away from the print).

FO Reversable Jumper

I got this great fabric off of Spoonflower. The dress is a little large for Zooey but should fit her come spring!

When It's Wrong!

Image
So I started this angora poncho for Zooey and these socks for a girl friend. The poncho just isn't coming out right and I hate the sock pattern. I will be ripping both out. No time for crap knit projects!

WIP Angora Poncho

So I cast on 300 sts and have just finished the ribbing for this poncho. Two things. 1, 300 sts sucks! 2, I might have to order more yarn. I'm almost through my first skein!

FO Stripped Baby Sweater

Project Details: Great yarn from the sale rack at the LYS. I found 2 skeins if purple and one of black and gray. The tarn is a blend of llama, merino, acrylic and rayon. Size 7 needles means this knit up fast. The size is 9-12 months. I wonder if it will fit Zooey. I started on February first and finished in February 8th. The pattern is no longer available on Ravelry - but I'm glad I found a copy! Update. This morning I stuck the sweater on her. I think she will be wearing it this year and maybe next fall!

WIP The Plan!

I've decided to hit it hard and start a number of projects. I went through my stash and queue to come up with my spring knitting. Now - to knit!!

Designed Infant Shirt

Image
I've now sewn a few dresses for Zooey and I decided to take things I like and a design I like to create a valentines shirt. I sketched out the pattern (so I can post a PDF if people are interested). The fabric is from Walmart and was 2$ a yard!

FO Posies Shawl

Project Details: First off this is the second time I've made this and I love it even more the second time. I used Wooley Wonka lace yarn (holding two strands together). I also used beads on the triple decrease. Don't you think it makes the color of the yarn pop? I started on November 4th and finished on January 31. I used size 5 needles and the tiniest darn crochet hook on the planet. I can pretty much promise you I'll be making it again sometime!
