Week 4/52 YOP21

I’m feeling like progress has been better than expected.  I had for July just the Drop Stitch Scarf.  I finished that up and then moved to project 2 on the list.   Fingerless Mitts  !  I used a sport weight yarn and ended up with a bunch left over.  Thinking another pair of mitts or a hat! Since these went fast I cast on for October’s Project.  Selago Sunset.  I’m using yarn I’ve had forever and never found a good enough pattern for.  Has that ever happened to you?  I spent too much on the yarn and nothing seems perfect enough for it. I hope to finish this early too!  Fingers crossed

Week 3/52 YOP21

My goal for July was to finish this handspun scarf!  I made it with time to spare.  This drop stitch scarf was boring but came out great.  After I finished I moved onto August’s project (fingerless mitts).  They have turned out to be a very fast knit.  I’m happy for that since the scarf felt slow!

Week 2/52

Week two of a year of projects and I’ll be honest.    I feel slow.  I see loads of people killing projects off their lists and I’m just moving at a snail pace.  Knitting a scarf was probably a mistake for the first project on the list.  But, I'm going to stick it out and try and finish before the end of the month. I did finish hexi puffs. I took them and made this little lab quilt.   It look me weeks on weeks to make this many and I thought it would come out larger.   Instead it is a little lap thing.  I will say it is warmer than all get out!  The puff part of it really makes it warm.  This was an item on my list to finish for this year.  So that is good.

FO Copy Cat Cowl (Handspun) YOP #2

I love the Copy Cat Cowl pattern for handspun yarn.  It always looks amazing and is fun to knit. I think this might be the third one I’ve done in this pattern.  The yarn was scrappies from Funky Carolina.  I miss her roving so much!  Anyone know what she is up to?  Now onto the next project - drop stitch scarf.  I hate knitting scarfs - but I think it will be amazing!

I have some items in my list to finish snd I got one thing done!!  Nanook sweater.  Funky construction but feels great on.  Took me a full 6 months to get this off the needles.  So slow but worth it!
