Nuclear Knits: Where knitting is the bomb!

I've been working on this top for about a week now and I'm loving it! Driving in the car means I get a lot of knitting time.

Turns out knitting while traveling with a baby is hard. I'm not making a ton of progress on these.

Project Details: I started this on April 11 and finished it on April 15th.  A quick knit.  The pattern didn't say how long to make it so I did 3.5 repeats of the pattern.  I used a Rowan cotton that I got on super clearance from Village Wools (I think $5 for the whole thing).  I think Zooey will be wearing it tomorrow! Note: Image is from tomorrow (or is that today).

I'm sending mittens to a swap.  After I finished the mittens I decided a hat was needed as well.  The mittens too me a few days as did the hat - but I hope that my swap buddy loves them!  I used fingering weight yarn with a nice cobweb held together.

I wanted a nice flowing poncho for spring. Here is what I made.  This poncho is made as a large rectangle and then assembled.  It was out of the Last Minute knits book - but I have to say it was not as "fast" as I thought it should be. Project Details: Started on February 5th and finished on April  4th.  I used Debbie Bliss Fez (which is in interesting blend of merino and camel).  It came out drappy like I wanted - but the neck opening is a bit large (we will have to see how it wears).  Overall I'm pretty happy - but we will have to see how it wears next week to work.
