Nuclear Knits: Where knitting is the bomb!

I pinged a dear friend, Carolyn , a few months ago. I sent her an image of the Sister's mountain range and dimensions. I asked her if she could work her magic and make a quilt for my husband. This is what she created. It is incredible. My husband told me he isn't sure another quilt will ever go up here again. Here is a close up of some of the quilting.

Project Details: I started this top on February 26 and finished yesterday (March 23rd).  It wasn't a hard or long project.  It is done top down and has this little lace pattern of the shoulders.  I didn't do the lace on the third side (because I thought it would be too open).  I used my own hand dyed yarn (which is 70% alpaca and 30% silk).  The yarn has a great feel but I think drapes too much for this top.  The sleeves came out way to big for me and the top overall drapes and doesn't fit my body right.  I think I'm going to give this to my sister who is a bit bigger than me. I was hoping for a spring top.  Maybe I'll have to work on something else! Finished Gemini - not on though

Why my knitting isn't moving faster!

Well I had hoped to have the body of this done by the end of the weekend. That didn't happen though. Maybe in the next day or two. I'm currently at 16" and I need to go to 19.75". I hope the knitting in the round gods are with me this week!

I finished this dress up during the week. Zooey's first birthday was great fun and the dress was perfect!

Another small project done. A quilt for a couple's baby that is due in June. No idea if it is a girl or boy. Hope they like it! Zooey likes it.

I decided to cast on for a spring top (since it is really around the corner). This Gemini top is knitting up fast!
