Socks ...

The latest SOTM kit has shown up from Yarn. The purple cascade sock yarn is delicious and the "pseudo" cable pattern looks like it will be fun to knit up! I started writing up the washcloth patterns and am finding it more time consuming to write up the patterns than it was to actually knit up the clothes. Hmm. Should I write down the patterns more when I'm knitting up testers?

The previous sock post with the Harris Tweed has been frogged. Actually I frogged it shortly after posting it and decided to do a basic 2/2 rib pattern. I finished the first sock in a day and LOVE it. Now just trying to decide if I should keep it or give it away??

Using an new climbing chalk bag (that was given to me for Christmas), I've also created an easy way to knit on the go. Should I patent the idea?

    Yep - that climbing bag is just perfect for a sock knitting accessory. Now, if you could do both knitting AND climbing, you'd be set. :)

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
