F.O. Sicily Sweater





I would call this the tightest smallest sweater I own. I'm not sure if I'll keep it or give it to someone with a smaller breast size than me.

Project Details
October 21st 2009 - February 22nd 2010 (FOUR MONTHS! ... what the hell is wrong with me??) I used Rowan Yorkshire Tweed DK yarn on size 3 & 5 needles. I used 9 of my 11 skeins (which was 1100 yards).

I'm feeling that I might be off sweaters for a while. I can't believe how tight this came out.

    It's hard to tell how tight it is in the photo but the knitting looks good. Don't you hate it after all that work and it doesn't fit? So sorry.

    I'm glad you added some rows before you cast off for the neckline tho - tight AND super low. I'm not sure Mike woulda let you out of the house.

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
