F.O. Juliet



Project Details:
Started April 20th and finished April 30th. This is really a very fast knit. Only 600 yards of bulky yarn is required. I used Elann Peruvian Highland Bulky in a great blue color (Courtney's favorite). I made this for my little sister's birthday (which is coming up in May). I have some great buttons for it and it still needs to be blocked. But, I'm happy to have it off the needles. I used 10.5 US size circular needles and found that this sweaters runs a bit large (so just be warned). This is the second time I've knit this sweater (the first time was in pink for myself). Great project.

Also, Methow loves wool sweaters. I had a hard time getting her off to take the photos!

The real question is ... what should I cast on next????

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
