Yup. Another Unfinished Project.
In all of the boxes of fabric I came across another unfinished quilt. Mostly cut out - not pieced at all and interesting fabric with a leaf pattern (it came as a whole kit). So, I sit down to figure out where I was and what to do next when I realize that the reason I put it down in the first part is that the next step calls for a bias bar and I have no freaking clue what that is.
So, I use the amazing google. Figure out what the bias bar is - what it is for and try to apply it to this project. I made my first two tubes with the bar and they are crap. By the third I have it down though. So, I spent last night working on piecing the leafs together and will begin with the sewing tomorrow. I wonder how long this will take me. The kit is for a queen size and goodness there are a million parts (okay more like 400 ... but seems like 1 million).
Those colors will be worth it--so pretty!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it complete. I agree with everyone too--the colours are lovely!! What the heck is a bias bar??? lol --will have to google it too.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I didn't know you were a quilter too! This quilt looks gorgeous, but it also looks like a TON of work if it's a whole bunch of curved pieces.
