F.O. Mobius Cowl



I have a friend who is more of a nerd than I. Her wedding band is a mobius. I saw this pattern and knew I had to do it for her. She loves the color blue and when this blue showed up from my holiday exchange I was positive she would love it.

Project Details:
Started on December 3rd. Finished on December 5th. The contrast color is about 6 yards of my handspun. It was sport weight so I held two strands together to match the other blue gauge. I knit this on size 7 needles and the blue yarn is Cascade Cloud 9. It only took one skein. I'm sure that my friend will love this and I'll probably do another one of these again at some point.

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

W.I.P October 13

I took this photo just so you couldn't make out the colorway or really much of the pattern. Just a sneaky little shot to show you something that I'm currently working on. For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
