F.O. Shizuku





Project Details: I joined a group called Mystery 220 on Ravelry. It seems really cool. The lady who runs it posts what you need and then clues. This is the first one I joined and I was a little late. I decided that a mystery might be exactly what I needed to get me out of my funk (and it was). I used some yummy yarn from a buddy Twiggi and it is called Earth. Worsted weight and 100% Superwash wool. It only took the 220 yards (like the group promised). I started on February 17 and finished February 19. Very fast knit. I did block it last night so that the drop would actually look like drops. If you don't they sort of bunch up.

    Okay this is SO freakishly similar to the shawl I just finished last night. It's blocking in the spare room now, I'll post FO pics when it's dry. How weird that we've nearly made the exact project!

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
