Handspun Venetian 100% Merino

This is what the roving looked like. Colorway Venetian.

Project Details: I had a hard time keeping a set gauge for this roving. It is 100% Merino and also seemed to poof up a lot once I washed it. From 4 oz I got 414 yards of worsted weight yarn. This roving came from Freckle Face Fibers on Etsy. Overall I'm so so on this yarn. I wish that it could have been a bit more precious and the way it puffed up I wasn't expecting. I'm not sure what to do with it. Thoughts?

  1. Merino's so that way - you think you've got a nice smooth yarn, it gets a bath and it's all puffy-duffy! The colors sure are pretty tho, and it's not superwash, right? It'd make a great pair of simple fulled mittens!
