F.O. Liffey


Mystery 220 for March was a hat. I thought maybe it was an elephant sock - but nope! It still needs to be blocked but this is what it looks like.

Project Details
I started it on March first and finished it up on March 30. I only got clues once a week. I didn't do the icord around the bottom and just did a rib instead. I used size 1 needles and fingering weight yarn. It came out to be 330 yards (not 220) but that is okay. I used Almost Holly yarn from Impulse of Delight. I can't wait to start April's mystery.

    Wow size 1 needles....that's tiny! Really nice hat pattern, love the colour too!

    I can't believe you knit a hat on size 1's, you crazy girl!! Not that you knew that's what you were knitting when you started. haha

    It is, however, a super cute hat!! I just knit an Ethereal shawl, which is covered in leaves very similar to this hat. =) Fun!

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
