My Creative Space.



I always wonder what people's crafting space looks like - so I decided to post an image of mine today. You can see all of the essentials; books, coffee, knitting, sewing, spinning, music ......

    Great space! Mine is chaos right now. We ripped the door of one small closet so Neal could build me cubby shelves for better storage. Everything that was in the closet is all over the floor. Add my new round of papers to grade to the mix and I'm not sure when I'll see the floor again!

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

I took this photo just so you couldn't make out the colorway or really much of the pattern. Just a sneaky little shot to show you something that I'm currently working on. For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
