WIP June 29

Well I had knitting for my Chicago trip planned - but that didn't really happen. So here has been my car/rv/home project.


It is the somewhat cowl sweater. It is done except for the cowl part. I swear knitting 6 inches of rib might kill me. I've been working on it for the past two weeks.

My goal - to finish this bad bitch!!

    Ribbing might be my least favorite stitch to work for long periods of time. It just grows so slowly and my hands get tired of switching the yarn back and forth every 2 sts.

    The sweater looks great - loving the color!

    You can do it!! I have no clue what ribbing is, but I am 100% positive you can whip the sh*t out of it! I look forward to seeing it all done. =P

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
