F.O. Somewhat Cowl

Finally, something finished. Here is the Somewhat Cowl (kit has been sitting in my craft room for nearly 3 years).

Project Details:
I started on February 28th and finished on June 30th. I wasn't focused on working on it all the time. Just here and there. I didn't make any pattern modifications, but as you can see it will HAVE to be worn with a tank underneath. I used the yarn that was called for which is Blue Sky Alpaca & Silk. The pattern called for 7 skeins but I really used 6 skeins and about a foot out of the last skein. So, I needed it but not all of it. I knit it on size 6 needles.

My overall comments are that the ribbing for the neck was a pain in the butt - took forever. But, that I like the end result. I'm not sure I can wear it in summer (because it feels a bit hot).

Comments

  1. I bet a black lace trimmed cami would look beautiful under this bad boy. Congrats on the FO - sweaters are seriously impressive!

  2. I love it! I think the ribbing on the collar and cuffs add an excellent element of texture and interest to the sweater. Maybe to hot to wear on a summer day - but perhaps in the evening if you get a bit of a summer rain storm? Now, if you made this again but really long in the body, you could wear with leggings. I'm wearing a knitted dress right now - I'm at work, but it is my favorite dress.
