Fiber Friday.



Remember this fiber? This is the last roving from the Oceanwinds Knit club. I've only just started working on it. I'll have to dig out the blend again - it is a hand-carded and very interesting to work with. I can't wait to get through it and see how the finished product looks. As I was spinning this up I thought it was all gray - and then I turned the lights on in the room and was amazed to see that there were bits of other colors.


I received my new roving package from Woolen Mill St. Yarns. It is so cool. 50% superwash, 50% tencel and the colorway is Electric Rose Garden.

    I was gonna ask if you got your new package yeserday. :) Mine arrived - same base yarn, but different colorway. I love the colors in yours!

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
