W.I.P April 20th


I'm still working on the lace pattern. I get a row or two done an evening. Not much ... but I'm trying to keep up with it. My goal will be to finish it in this lifetime!

I've cast on for Juliet. For those that read, you'll remember I did this pattern in pink a while back. This is a gift for Courtney's birthday.

    Sometimes on those big projects, just doing a little bit every day still equals progress!

    You know, one or two rows a night is at least SOMETHING. Which is a hell of a lot more progress than I'm making on my Central Park Hoodie which has sat in hibernation for nearly a year now. I commend your slow-but-sure progress. If if possible, could you send some of that motivation my way? My CPH would really appreciate it. =]

Weeks 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26

Yep.  I have totally slacked on updates.  I’ve been actively working down my year of project stuff.  But it has been a hot minute since I posted.  Let’s cover the good. I finished a few things.  A sweater (Sylvia) that has been on the needles for a year.  Roving that has been sitting for a year and the Hitchhikers shawl that was part of my planned year of project work.   Now for the bad.  I have two projects on my year of project list that just aren’t speaking to me.  One is a pair of mittens on fingering weigh and the other is fingerless mitts (which the pattern is just painful).   In the new year I plan to assess what is working and what I’m hating and focus on the things I enjoy.  Life is too short to work on projects we hate! On my list for yop I still have 3 official projects to complete.  I might swap the sweater pattern.  The plan for the week is coming together!

For those of you out there still wondering ... yes the Yogini sweater is coming along. I'm probably only 2 inches from finishing the second sleeve and then the trim. I know, I really should work harder to finish it!
